CFRP APPLICATION IN

Because of its small heat expansion coefficient and its high specific rigidity CFRP is very suitable for use in high precision measuring machines.



The temperature expansion amounts to up to –1.5x10-6 1/K and can be adjusted to exactly 0 1/K by a combination of various layer orientations. The high rigidity (E-modulus lengthwise up to 350.000 N/mm2) allows for stable yet light constructions. Thus it offers possibilities that cannot be realized with other materials.
